Braves and Angels Trade

Angels get:
Howie Kendrick (7.0)
Drew Hutchinson (2.2)

Braves get:
Garrett Richards (6.425)
Rusney Castillo (480,000)

For Braves this is no brainer. Assuming Richards is healthy he's ace potential and Castillo still has potential. Happy to move Kendrick and the salary for an older guy.

Angels approve

Richards has great upside but he also carries some injury risk and while he may be a great extension candidate next year, I decided to go the safe route to compete this year. Castillo has some upside too if he gets a change of scenery but again I prefer safe route to compete this year.

Kendrick fillls my LF need for this season and although he is a bit pricey I can now go into FA with less needs. Hutchison is somebody who can be useful if he is able to secure a rotation spot so there is some upside there.
