Player ranking will be based upon the two previous years.  Highest ranking between those two years is the players value.

How do in-season extensions work. Do we use the current year as one of the 2 years or is it the previous 2 complete seasons?

Current and last season.  Maybe we should do current, last, and the year before last if it's before the trade deadline?

This is gonna be hard to do, the easiest would be just to use last years numbers along with their numbers so far up until the signing. So if they were the 30 ranked player last season in their category and so far the best player at #1 then average it out to 15th. After trade deadline no signing players until you are out of playoffs or playoffs are over, then it goes by the completed season (ex. 2010-2011 season) ranking. How does that sounds??

Honestly I like the numbers ted has, it's relatively easy, and it works in other leagues I'm in.
