I do this deal b/c I get a good young pitcher on a decent contract. I hate to see Reckling and Thole leave but I get some decent picks. Most importantly, I free up 4mil which will go straight to Reyes' deal.  Hank to confirm.

I don't object to too many trades, but I feel I need to veto this one.

To me Thompson and Mora are equivalent to the 5th and 6th round picks.  Reckling is a mid-level prospect and Thole is the same, but only because he plays C.  So Thole and Reckling for Weaver does not pass the test. 

I would think that Weaver, who leads the majors in K/9, would at least obtain FLA a top 50 prospect.
