Nats/Dodgers Trade 7/28/26 3:06P

[BHows]

Dodgers send
Yainer Diaz C HOU $0.5m 3rd
Taylor Clarke RP ARZ $0.5m 2027

to Washington for
Kody Clemens MI/CI MIN $1.5m 2028

Clemens solves 2 problems for me- Back-up MI and I may not extend JP Crawford.
I'm down to 1 catcher but with this trade and my trade for Burger, I can keep Hicks there every game.
Thanks Dave, for the talks, it was fun, Confirm when you can

Nats approve.  I really need a 2nd catcher and I hope that Diaz improves as he gets farther away from his injury.  Clemens is great and has tons of positional eligibility, but he's expendable given the emergence of a couple of other guys.  Thanks for the smooth trade talks Rick!
