I’d also be interested in looking back in time, not K-T back but the last five or six seasons would be interesting. Thanks in advance to the people in the know.

I'm not trying to stir anything up but I think it's worth asking:

Is there an official league position on teams intentionally not setting their lineups in order to get a higher draft pick?

I do not believe there is an official rule that prevents purposely and willingly minimizing a team's chances of winning. But are you concerned? We know it happens in professional sports.

Yes teams make moves to sacrifice the present for the future but I don't ever remember a hockey team dressing less than a full roster because they hoped to lose...

I don't personally care for it no. I could see a scenario where the bottom ten teams never play their guys in the future because there's no incentive too. I'm not making a big deal out of it though.

There's no rule. But we can put it to a vote.
Then there's the logistics of policing it and defining what counts as tanking, is it 10 consecutive week vs 6 random weeks vs the last wk of the year or is it tanking only when the team plays contenders?

Do you gents want a vote?

I don’t think this is grey in any shade. It is clearly funny business to not at a minimum put your best players into your lineup. No definition is necessary for that.

It’s all readily available math to calculate opportunity points and wins lost. I would just leave it to the mods to evaluate owner intent and adjust the draft order as math suggests.

I’m not sure one two or three is any different this year in draft quality but B.B. did not sell a bottom 10 team in Buffalo. More than one team is getting shifted in draft position...

Where can i find a league archive for team records? Was thinking fantrax but no such luck (at least using my phone). I want to track progress of acomplished growth.
I’d also be interested in looking back in time, not K-T back but the last five or six seasons would be interesting. Thanks in advance to the people in the know.

The only way to find records from pasrbseasons is on Fantrax but inly if you were in FNHL.

If you simply want placement, you can look at Drafts and see where teams got slotted in the draft order.

Valid Q.

FNHL doesnt have an Anti-Tanking rule currently. There is a review for owners with multiple teams were we ensure there was an honest attempt to field the best lineups when thw owners teams face one another.

PPG touched on the reasons for there currently being no anti-tanking rule, dedicated review and criteria to oversee. Even building in a lottery system takes time.

In the end, I felt it was not worth my time nor PPG's to setup, regulate and enforce. If someone wants to step up and do that, we could review for 2018-19... but that person needs to be consistent and dedicated beyond 1 season.

Those are the best match-ups. Capitals-Oilers match-ups are always close. Currently having another great match-up this week.
