Yeah, he just got out the um hospital SJ & its his first FNHL draft. He posted before he looked for it thinking he may have missed his "um pick"

Thanks Papps for the simple & dignified answer  :toast:

Hahaha....since when is FNHL dignified? That's a different league I think.
If someone is too lazy to dig a little for themselves they should expect to be called on it. If he could type the question, he could click the link.

Thanks man...(forget Jonathan )

I built the schedule in fantrax for Scouting Department (Corey made the schedule but it was implemented in fantrax by me) I would be happy to do the same for FNHL (if needed)

Yes, fantrax allows you to set multiple opponents in the same week...this allows a more realistic simulation imo. The rewards are clear, it gives a truer sense of the strongest teams & playoff teams/matchups are more deserved.

Division weighted scheduling also builds up rivalries & drives up interest. As a new GM having only 1 year vested in FNHL I did not wish to step on tradition, however I felt we could make a great league even better by increasing matchups to provide a more realistic total simulation.

The current schedule only needs to be edited to accomplish this task. If the matter can be voted on or approved, it is not overly complicated to achieve. We could have an 82 game schedule (by having 4 opponents for 16 weeks = 64 games & 3 opponents the final 6 weeks)

This is the best hockey league Ive ever been a part of, so if it stayed the same it wouldn't kill me, I would LOVE an 82 game simulation with all you fine gents.  :toast:

You could simulate most the schedule.  Just do it twice.

Set in fantrax for 2 games per week and division opponents only , have it generate.  copy the results.

then go and set it to generate across the league.  , then manually add it the results from the first simulation
Then review for any inconsistencies make fine adjustments as needed.

My personal opinion is I have never liked the division weighted schedules.  I get why the NHL does it because they have to pay for plane tickets and time zones.  From a fantasy perspective I like a level playing field vs. the idea of division weighting. People , so for 2 reason we just use evenly divided matchups across the entire league, 1) level playing field 2) much less manual labor.

For the league I run, we do even divided for the season , with the exception of the final week, for that each team plays every other team in their division, so we end up with our division weighting that way.

Don't see a place to vote on this ... but the Pens like the idea overall.

Since you are already paying for the premium features of fantrax, you guys should really consider setting up the picks on Fantrax.  For a little bit of setup work now it could make the admins lives a lot easier come draft time and easier for your GM's.

Once you have it setup, you can automate it that the it automatically does the 48hour clock.  you can even have it pause between certain times at night.  It will also automatically email the next team when its their turn to pick.
By having the teams make their pick on fantrax it will automatically add the players to their teams.
It also allows GM's to que up players so lets say I know I am going to be away for 48hours I can just que up my next 3 or so players and set it to auto draft.
It also saves your draft results so its easy to go back and view who has been drafted or reference again in the future if you need to.

Just throwing it out there to the admins.. would be happy to help you set it up if you wanted.

I would actually love to see all of our contracts and cap hits posted on fantrax as well but I know that would be an uphill battle to fight..... if you did it you would love it though.....
