The Cubs, Mets, Reds & Giants would like to announce a 4-team, 7-player deal. What started out as a simple discussion between two owners, turned into a massive deal involving, 4 owners and a lot of PM's. It took a lot of communication to get this one done, so I'd like to thank Corey, Dan and Ernesto for keeping the lines open, and being decisive and fair. It would not have gotten done otherwise.

I hate to give up Freeman, he was the cornerstone of my rebuilding franchise, but the ability to move him for some much needed quality depth was too much to refuse, and once Trout (an obvious favorite of mine) entered the equation, I just couldn't pass this up. I receive an up-and comer in Trout, a potential top of the rotation starter, and some real strong organizational pitching depth.

One of the best young 1B in the game, that's all that needs to be said. Mets trade some quality prospects but with their depth they were able to work from a position of strength to get a player they coveted.

The Giants call home another one of their favorite sons. A versatile CI-OF with a strong bat and all the tools. 2012 should be a break-out year.
