Prospect Contracts

When I put up a post for a prospect contract do I need to wait 72 hours in order to sign that player. i.e I put up a post for Tyler Colvin for a prospect contract and was wondering how that worked. Also, I am a little confused at the timeline and cant seem to find it. OF FA bidding is going on now? when are the others happening. Ill try to find it before someone answers.

72 hour open bid
Bidding has opened up for CI, P, and now OF.  MI and C remain.  This means you could open up bids on CI, P, and OF.  When MI opens up next week then you can bid on everyone but catchers (until 3/15).

If no one bids for 72 hours, then the final bid is the winning bid. Once someone else bids the 72 hour clock resets itself.
