While I realize one of my fellow TC members has an issue with vetoes, I don't understand the merits of this trade.Adam Jones was the 34th ranked OF last season, the highest ranked player in the trade, and the reason for trading him is he won't help that much this season? As for being a tough re-sign, his extension would be $2.5m more than his present contract, yet, with this trade, Washington is taking on an additional $6.5m in salary cap.Ozuna was the 38th ranked OF this past season and is a (P-2016), which means he can be re-signed below market value for two more seasons.Ackley is no longer MI eligible, so Washington essentially trades OFs that are ranked 34 and 38 for OFs who are ranked 49 and 77. I realize Minor helps his pitching staff, but his $4.0m contract is not very friendly for a team with limited cap space considering he is ranked 114. I don't think Ramirez's upside is enough to justify the merits of this trade. Edit: Remove redundant phrase repeat
Does this trade pass or do I move on?
