With the deadline coming up, my demand is simple yet slightly complicated - I need a roster space and a little bit of cap. I want to keep all of my young guns that are currently playing on the main roster. And thus, I need a roster space and some cap.

Olli Jokinen, $3.0m (2011-12)
David Clarkson, $1.4m (2011-12)
Filip Kuba, $1.9m (2011-12)
Yannick Weber, $0.9m (2012-13)

I'll consider anything else, but only if it makes sense for my team. I want to keep my young core together for my long play-off run.

These players are on the block

Martin Brodeur, $5.2m (2011-12) $2.4m (2012-13)
Johan Hedberg, $1.0m (2011-12)
IR - Tom Gilbert, $4.0m (2013-14)
Martin St. Louis, $5.3m (2013-14)
Henrik Sedin, $6.1m (2013-14)
Chris Higgins, $1.0m (2011-12)
C - Eric Tangradi, N/C (24 games)
*C - Mark Letestu, $0.3m (2011-12)
*RW - Scottie Upshall, $1.2m (2011-12)

Brodeur has been re-signed next year for $2.4m
Sedin and St. Louis will be the hardest to get. A 1st round pick and another player is what I hope to get in a trade for them.

:CHI-NHL: is always up for talking trade. I never have players I consider untouchable if the deal makes sense for my team.

Looking to make one big upgrade for my run... Could be a rental or someone with years left on their contract. I just want to make one more upgrade.

Luke Adam, $0.2m (2012-13) 2W
Olli Jokinen, $3.0m (2011-12)
Vinny Prospal, $1.2m (2011-12)
Steve Ott, $3.0m (2013-14)
Andrew Shaw, $1.6m (2012-13) 2W
Kyle Wellwood, $0.4m (2011-12)
Yannick Weber, $0.9m (2012-13)

LW - Marcus Foligno, N/C (1 game)
LW - Johan Harju, N/C (10 games)
RW - Zack Kassian, $1.5m (2013-14) 2W
D - Mark Pysyk , N/C (0 games)
G - David Leggio, N/C (0 games)
*RW - Mikael Samuelsson, $2.5m (2011-12)
*D - Jonathon Blum, $0.5m (2011-12)

Buffalo 5th Round

I would really like to not move any of my other draft picks, but for the right guy, I would consider it. Please note, I am not looking to make any major changes to my roster. Just looking for an upgrade before the play-offs.

I will be on yahoo messenger all night - favo_zomg.

  • jmntl82: How did the other team finish?
  • Jwalkerjr88: It was dallas. I think he missed the playoffs that year. Then used the draft picks on the 2021 class. Every pick was the 32nd pick (dont remembee what the other 1st became)
  • Jwalkerjr88: Idk if anyone remembers the 2021 class but it was weak on offense outside or the top 10-15. I dont regret the deal just learned and move on. As long as you have assets, you can mold your build how you want. Picks are usually the most valuable asset because most gms want in on a draft.

  • Jwalkerjr88: The results of that draft class is here [link]
