This move frees up a ton of money for FA this off season and gives me some solid/cheap pitching depth through next season.  Rays also add two top-level prospects in Vitters and Rizzo.  Reds find an instant answer to their catching issues as well as a red-hot OF bat and young SP to provide nice depth once Brett Anderson returns after the break.

I love this deal for the Rays.  They pick up a lot of cheap players including a capable starter in Gorzo, a possible catcher back on the rise in Iannetta, and a top prospect in Vitters.  On top of that, they cut $29m in liabilities in 2011 and 2012.

Meanwhile, the Reds stock pile in their attempts to make a run at the NL Central and NL Wildcard races.
