Contract Extension discrepancy

The current extension in the transactions board allow the extensions to kick in at the end of the current contract. Is this right?

The previous of extensions of Freddie Freeman, Desmond Jennings and many others, kicked in at the end of the current season. The first example is how they were done today. If this is right then Freddie Freeman should be .5m in 2012 .5m in 2013 .5m in 2014. 4m in 2015 4m in 2016 4m in 2017 4m in 2018 and 4m in 2019.

Paul is correct, However Wood loses his prospect eligibility since you have signed him to an extension...

Dan per your ruling... Freeman, Jennings, Montero and all the earlier P-extensions this season need to be changed then correct?

The distinction between Freeman and Wood is that Freeman was extended using the special prospect extension clause, for which the following applies:

No matter what the current prospect contract is, the prospect extension kicks in the following year at the rate based on when the contract is given.

Correct - plus I believe all of those extension were done before the books turned over...

But to further clarify - and extension can not go past it's maximum ceiling as per the price of the extension. If someone is extending a player for 5 years (non prospect) but that player already has 4 years remaining on their contract, then the team is effectively adding one year to the contract.
 - This is done so that no one can extend a player for more or less ten years -

Any prospect extension takes hold the next fiscal season. Our books turn over at the end of any current season. Same reasoning holds here as above.

If the following season contracts taking effect become a problem, then the RC and I will reconvene and discuss abandoning it. This is the first year it is effect.
