Giants are hoping Yangervis Solarte can be productive again, especially since he has always done well in Oracle Park (AT&T Park).  Stephen Vogt is a gamble after sitting out 2018 with injuries, but he may get some play at 1B with the Giants.  Solarte is on an expiring contract and if Vogt doesn’t pan out, he can always be bought out at the end of the season.

With the current spending in free agency, it’s probably not a given the Giants can get a MI or a C at a reasonable salary, so hopefully, these two players will help fill some gaps in the Giants lineup.
