Cleveland and Detroit have agreed to the following deal:

Detroit sends:
LF Alex Gordon (2015: $15.8m, 2016: $15.8m, 2017: $15.8m)
$11.9m in 2015 to help cover Gordon's salary this season

Cleveland sends:
CF Rajai Davis (2015: $4m, 2016: $4m, 2017: $4m)
SP Touki Toussaint (single A) (minor league contract)
3B Giovanny Urshela (single A) (minor league contract)

The rebuild continues. I think very highly of Gordon but have to stock my minors as much as possible. While this deal doesn't free up any 2015 money for me, it does free up some future cash. Even though he's very raw, I like Toussaint a quite a bit and Urshela could end up being a solid starter if things break the right way for him. Rajai Davis was basically just a way to take some salary back and make sure I have an LF-eligible player on my roster.

cleveland is going for a title this year! gordon upgrades over davis urshela has great upside,but is a risky prospect the added cash from the tigers works this perfectly
