MI Semien, Marcus, $6m (2023)

Ideally, a trade is negotiated to meet the needs of both teams.  In this instance, such is the case, as the Giants receive a quality OF in Mark Canha and the Marlins get a productive MI in Mark Semien.  The Giants are taking on some dead money in a retiring Alex Gordon, but his contract is manageable enough to be bought out after the Trade Deadline.
