I consider the minor as a team separate from the first team. Can be seen as a springboard for the major league. On statistics, as there are many leagues, it will be difficult to determine which team is really the best. If we find the way to the stats, I think these statistics shouldn't impact the major team.

At the end of the season can be rewarding the best team for a fee (which could increase the envelope for cash trades).

I think scoring the minor league clubs would def make this a unique league. I'm absolutely up for doing that. Of course it wouldn't have any major affect on the league, but maybe a small financial incentive could be a nice bonus at the end of the year. Perhaps a playoff system could be made for the minor leagues as well? Something similar to what the Majors have? Just an idea. Keep me posted on what the rest of the league has to say about it

Matt, I completely agree with you. If we go this route, it would just be a nice perk, or extra or whatever you want to call it. Winning minor league games here would be as important as the Durham Bulls winning. In the end, the greatest benefit you can derive from your farm system is the development of future major league players. Scouts don't rate organizations by won-loss record, so there's no reason we would here.

Perhaps down the road, we could give a small financial reward to the best minor league teams. This is just a thought experiment for now.

Yeah, makes sense. The only concern is maybe that really by doing stats it may not show who has the best minor league system. It could just provide with who has the most balanced (i.e. having a guy at every position and depth with average prospects) rather than the team who has 7 top 100 prospects, 5 of which are pitchers. Obviously for trading, more people would go for the 7 top 100 guys rather than the average guys to make a "full" minor league roster.

Granted, if there was some sort of incentive for a strong minor league system overall, it could be cool. I love the thought, but if we're doing it simply to "rank" minor league systems, then I'm not so sure it'll accomplish that if we do it by stats. If proFSLs system works and it can run games or stats for minors, I'm all for it. I definitely think it would be a cool element to have, I just don't think it will effectively rank our minor league systems simply based on those results.

To clarify, any minor league scoring that takes place, if this happens, will be completely independent of the regular major league scoring that we do. Think of the minors as a separate team, just like an MLB team and a AAA team. In no way will minor league stats impact the regular major league scoring.

ProFSL is due to have its own scoring service this fall.  ProFSL will have to pay extra for minor league data, but it is worth exploring after the service is setup.
If this comes about I'd be interested in the administration side of the minors. Please keep me in the loop also.

Does anybody else have any interest in scoring minor leagues? Of course, since players are in all different leagues and different levels, it's difficult to truly tell which system is better than the rest. However, I feel it would add a uniqueness to this league if we decide to pursue it in the future.

Keep me in the loop on that. If it looks like something I can implement here and my professiomal future looks secure, I could chip in some money if ProFSL is on the fence about it.
