Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Hawks Mail-in Rebate on Hjalmarsson.« on: January 24, 2013, 05:05:10 PM »
It's pocket change but we'll ask for it anyway.
Hjalmarsson signed with my boys in Philly. He was one of our b/o players during the offseason. We'd like to get the 0.2m rebate. Thanks guys! 9903
Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Trade Winds Blow Through Chicago (again) and Edmonton!« on: January 24, 2013, 05:00:58 PM »
Those icons don't work.
In fact none of them do. I tried commish! Down to business! Chicago announces a blockbuster deal to acquire a key piece to rebuild the Blackhawks franchise around. We're looking to stay busy during this rebuilding year! Chicago acquires Goalie Carey Price, $5.9m (2013-2014) Defence Paul Martin, $5.0m (2013-2014) Round 3 - 2013 from Oilers Edmonton receives G - Jack Campbell (2010: 1/11 - 0 Games) Center Jonathan Toews, $6.3m (2014-2015) D - Cameron Gaunce (2008: 2/50 - 11 Games) Center Marty Reasoner, $0.9m (2012-2013) Center Brian Boyle, $5.4m (2013-2014) Goalie Andrew Raycroft, $0.4m (2013-2014) We're sending the Oil players and positions they need and want and a bluechip goaltending prospect in Campbell. Gaunce is another great prospect. Moving Raycroft was to clear room and he might or might not return to the NHL but he's young enough to hold in case he makes a comeback. Tough to part with Toews and Jack but you have to pay the piper if you wanna dance! 9904

Geez guys let's not make it look like I fleeced Florida now. I wouldn't want a hammer or axe to fall on me from outta nowhere. LOL
This trade made a lot of sense for my rebuilding Hawks with lots of building blocks to shape my team for the future. 9905
Franchise NHL / Re: Franchise NHL - Questions Section« on: January 21, 2013, 05:35:53 PM »
Hey Drew isn't that the same thing that's done in this league? What happens when you have completely inactive teams and the prospect has played say 60 games or put another way 20 games over the limit. I understand Backyard is active with it's 18 team group. But the question is what do you do if a bunch of teams suddenly aren't and the team's rosters are mismanaged? Also I see you ban people from your league. Under what circumstances to you ban people from joining? I think that's a great idea for pools on this site and we should do that too here in Franchise. 9906
Franchise NHL / Re: Franchise NHL - Questions Section« on: January 21, 2013, 05:30:38 PM »What I do care to see is that when owners do become truly MIA that those teams aren't destroyed for years to come. It isn't about those who are active but those who aren't. And seeing how this door has x number of teams controlled by management it is an issue as clearly the proof is there to see. Boston is the original commissioner from what I can see. Joe is claiming a team is destroyed for years to come if they are inactive. From what I've read that problem has been addressed with the league commissioners assuming control of the team until new owners can be found. So what's the problem? I don't understand what concern you are raising Boston? Once again, correct me if I am mistaken but if a GM is active they can manage their own MiLR otherwise if they are suddenly inactive for a significant amount of time the team gets run by the commissioners until new ownership is in place like the Phoenix Coyotes of the NHL. Pretty simple! 9907

We are bringing Salak into the Hawks organization where he belongs. He should get a back up gig soon and is the key to this deal for my team. In fact he would've been Crawford's back up last year if not for Emery. I also prefer Kulemin over Dupuis in the longrun and add a draft pick.
To CHI G - Alexander Salak (2009: FA signing - 2 Games) Nikolai Kulemin, $4.9m (2014-2015) Brent Johnson, $1.1m (2012-2013) Round 4 - 2013 (FLA) To FLA Pascal Dupuis, $2.8m (2013-2014) C - Brandon Pirri (2009: 2/59 - 6 Games) Thanks Florida. My bad for taking some extra time to get back to you. jan19-13: added trade icon. 9908
Franchise NHL: Completed Transactions / Cutting Minor Leaguer C. Cohen« on: January 18, 2013, 11:22:43 PM »
Hawks say bye bye to this minor leaguer.
If you want to play in the big leagues you got to show some fierce competitiveness kid. Showing up ain't good enough in this organization. D - Colby Cohen (2007: 2/45 - 3 Games) Hawks are now within the 13 player limit. As if it were ever in doubt we could trim down our MiLR. Some of the other kids better watch out or we'll drop the axe on them too. LOL 9909

My bad I missed the note about the transaction freeze.
I'll just leave this buyout here until the freeze is over. |
