This might seem an interesting move to take cap on for the Braves, but if helps the team. Clevinger, despite the price tag is a pitcher the team could use and Gio Urshela, the team will see how to handle. Without losing any of their elite prospects, with the prices of the assets acquired the Braves believe the price is right and still are firm believers in the ability of Touki to be effective. There is some financial help with Clevinger which helps. The Braves look to use this deal to possibly flip assets and grow.

Jays are doing this as they need a bit of depth and are taking a chance on Gutierrez and some calculated risk with Phillips. The team feels this helps the team a bit more going forward and are happy to help another team out looking for someone more full-time. Believer in opportunity, we hope Gutierrez pans out.

Jays ae doing this deal as they need offensive help. Currently an FA, once the CBA is resolved Schwarber will be one of the better pure power hitters in the OF available. He might be limited in the field, but the bat is for real.We'll address his FA status next year, but feel he is more beneficial to our team than Longoria currently is.

My goal with the Braves is to use as many veteran players to obtain younger talent that should enable me to compete in the future. Fleming actually could be bette than a lot hope as he has sneaky pop at times and could develop a little more power. I do not think this deal would have been possible if I did not cove Joc for 2 years considering he does not have a current team, but eventually a team will sign him. Gelof is the big guy we wanted in the deal as he has legit power and even though he was only drafted in the 2021 MLB Draft. He reached AAA last season and could either be a late in season call up this season or be unreally soon in 2023.

I've been thinking on how to handle this team over the pst few days and I believe the best way is to rebuild it as it seems this team had been under-managed. There will be some mouthpieces OTB, but mainly I am blowing this team up.
