Rocks do this deal to obviously cut cap space to resign Bruce and Bucholz, but a small market team cannot afford to pay that much money on an aging pitcher who will only get worst over time. The addition of Zito gives me a decent replacement at a fraction of the cost. Betancourt will get traded out of Atlanta eventually and gives me some solid value out of the trade.

I am looking to move A.J. Burnett, I mean I am looking to sell him before our deadline passes.

Also, I am looking to move Blackburn who is only $0.5m, Charlie Blackmon, Louis Coleman, Kosuke Fukudome, Guillermo Mota

I am looking to move all of these guys for cap relief and young talent as well. I am not looking for a huge return on any of these guys. PM me and I will respond as quickly as I can to all trade offers. I would like to get talks going by tonight in case we can't agree at first about compensation.
