Franchise GM: Completed Transactions / Tampa Bay/St. Louis trade 11-9-15 9:05 pm ET APPROVED« on: November 09, 2015, 09:53:13 PM »
Tampa Bay receives:
Chris Bassitt (P-2018).5M Chad Bettis (2016).5M St. Louis receives: Chris Owings (P-n/a).5M To be approved by TB The cardinals make this trade to thin out my pitching staff as well as gain a little bit more depth at MI. Hoping Owings can hold onto the starting job, but I'm dealing from Depth, so I'm happy with the deal. Thanks Eric! 3233
Franchise GM: Invalid Transactions / Phillies/Cardinals deal 11-9-15 8:25 pm ET« on: November 09, 2015, 09:21:06 PM »
Phillies receive:
Adrian Beltre (2018)10M 2M paid in 2016 Cardinals receive: Jake Diekman (2018)2M To be approved by Philly The cardinals make this deal because I don't believe that Adrian Beltre will be worth 10 million this season let alone 2 years from now. Getting anything of value for him as well as saving myself 6 Million this season is well worth it for me. I also really like what Diekman did after the trade to Texas. Seems like he will be a valuable part of the pen there. Thanks Papps! 3234

still looking to move a few pitchers for one SP, RP or MI. I have more than 10 SP that will almost certainly have a rotation spot next year and I don't need that many. Not looking to get a superstar in return. Just a small upgrade to what I have.

Cardinals Confirm.
I make this trade because it's not everyday you have the ability to pick up a game changer like Stanton. While he may end up with a high resign, I feel he will be worth whatever that ends up being. I'm also dealing from depth everywhere but MI. Having my 2 catchers locked up longterm and looking to deal a starter or two it came down to whether a lesser MI was worth Stanton and I definitely think he is. Always nice for a deal to come together quickly. Thanks for making it easy! 3238

Ok. I think I have all of these correct. Been waiting to see a resign, but I haven't seen one so I'll just go with what I'm reading. So just let me know if I messed up anywhere.

Cardinals accept.
While I'm honestly not very excited about Reyes, I do think based on what is available in Free Agency that he gives me the best shot at a full time MI for next year. For me the Trade was more or less Finnegan for Reyes and his salary, so I couldn't turn it down. Thanks Voll for the easy talks! |
