Tigers are willing to listen on the recently acquired Justin Verlander $16.5m (2022). Looking for a group of young controllable assets in return. Would be willing to discuss eating money in the right deal

Tigers agree. I’ve got cap space and despite Verlander’s health, he’ll become an asset for me whether it’s now or later

Typically this is usually a pass/veto thread and guy lay out their reason and don’t react to every veto but I’ll respond. Chapman and Gray have ranked higher than any of the guys in the proposal. And the youth in the package is a group of guys who who either aren’t likely to be everyday starters (Tauchman and Hampson) and a guy who looks completely different following surgery (Andujar). We’re discussing a top 25 prospect here, compiling a larger group of lesser players doesn’t equate it to be being more valuable than getting 2-3 top tier guys

Ok I’m going to be the bad guy here but . This is a collection of mid to low tier guys for a top prospect. Andujar hasn’t looked the same post TJ, Didi is over 30 years old and Hampson profiles more as a utility player than an everyday starter. Just in comparison to the last Witt deal that got shot down I don’t know how a larger collection of lesser players make this an overall better deal

Old Powerhouse: Invalid Transactions / Re: Washington and rockies trade« on: August 10, 2020, 11:15:43 PM »Disappointed....rules are rules. Since we can we eliminate votes? If anything I could see let’s hear Cliff’s reasoning and see if that changes my mind but Cliff hasn’t responded so our votes are void? Where you pulling that from? 170

Sorry guys this isn’t anything different than the last offer you guys put out. Swapping Reynold and Mercado does nothing to sway the value in this deal so it puts us right back to where we were before.
