The Angels/Mets have agreed to the following trade. It looks like the Mets are going to try and overtake the Braves as they just traded for a haul in arms. Garza has been straight beast mode lately and that would be a great addition to any lineup, but add in Jackson and Hand and hopefully Romero gets back sometime and that is a 4 SP addition. The Angels do this trade to clear some roster spots as we made many trades in which we acquired a stable of young arms so this makes room for them. It also gets us another CI bat who when healthy is one of the best in the game. Thanks for the easy talks Corey and good luck.
SP Garza, Matt, $6m (2017), signed 2/2/14 SP Jackson, Edwin, $5.5m (2016) SP Romero, Ricky, $5.5m (2016) SP Hand, Brad, $0.5m (P-2014)
for
CI Fielder, Prince, $22.5m (2015) Pay $5 2014
Mets to confirm.

the Angels release the following RPs. Both are on Prospect deals so no cap hit. This clears two roster spots and saves the Angels $1M in cap space.
RP De La Rosa, Eury, $0.5m (P-n/a) RP Fujikawa, Kyuji, $0.5m (P-n/a)

The Angels and Mets agreed on another trade. The Angels do this to move one of their bats who doesn't fit into their future plans for a MI in Profar who will slide right in as the Angels MI of the future with Correa. We are willing to gamble on Britton keeping up his production and potentially getting us a pick. Edwin Jackson is an affordable SP, who the Angels will try to flip. We do give up Zimmerman, but as I said he is not in our plans and with Abreu/Cecchini we have our CIs. Realmuto got promoted in RL, so I needed to either promote him or trade him and I chose to trade him. Farguhar replaces the production of Britton for the Mets and is locked up cheap on a spec deal. Thanks Corey for the easy negotiations.
RP Britton, Zach, $1m (2014) SP Jackson, Edwin, $5.5m (2016) MI Profar, Jurickson, $0.5m (P-2016)
for
CI Zimmerman, Ryan, $17m (2018), signed 1/17/14 $11M in 2014, $12M in 2015 C Realmuto, J.T., $0.5m (P-n/a) RP Farquhar, Danny, $0.5m (P-2016)
Mets to confirm.

for
OF Kepler, Max, $0.5m (P-n/a) SP Harvey, Hunter, $0.5m (P-n/a)

The Angels and Cards have agreed on the following trade. The Angels are on a role with the trades. Now they have dealt their other Khris Davis who although is solid, is not in their plans. They also deal Duffy, who is now healthy, but do for a resign which we didn't want to do. Dealing Pelfrey gives us a little cap relief. We gain another strong SP arm in Taylor Jordan and we get our own mountain of a man in Brian Flynn. Tyler Austin gives us a risk/reward type OF who hopefully comes back from his injury and gains he stroke back. Thanks for the easy negotiations Paul.
OF Austin, Tyler, $0.5m (P-n/a) SP Flynn, Brian, $0.5m (P-n/a), signed 1/29/14 SP Jordan, Taylor, $0.5m (P-2016)
for
SP Pelfrey, Mike, $3m (2014) Angels pay $1M in 2014 SP Duffy, Danny, $0.5m (P-2014) OF Davis, Khris, $0.5m (P-2016)
Cards to confirm.

The Mets and Angels have agreed on the following trade. The Angels are obviously in a complete rebuild mode with 2015+ as the target year/years to come. Davis is a huge piece now and will perform during the early years of when the Angels are targeting, but with draft picks not being tradeable in FGM, you have to trade for MiLB talent to build and that is what the Angels are doing in acquiring Correa. Correa is the kind of player the Angels plan to build around. The Angels also net a good pitching spec in AJ Cole to add to their growing crop of farm system arms. Romero and Hanigan are part of the deal for money purposes to make it work, but could also be future pieces to move and further build the Angels. Gilmartin doesn't seem to be ranked too high in spec rankings, but from what his numbers are this year maybe he will start getting a little more attention. Thanks Corey for the easy trade discussion. I know Davis will be a huge addition to your Mets roster.
CI Davis, Chris, $10m (2017) Angels Pay $1.5M 2014 OF McClure, D'vone, $0.5m (P-n/a)
for
MI Correa, Calos, $0.5m (P-n/a) SP Romero, Ricky, $5.5m (2016) SP Cole, A.J., $0.5m (P-n/a) C Hanigan, Ryan, $2.5m (2016) SP Gilmartin, Sean, $0.5m (P-n/a)
I think the money is even, if not one of the accounting types can help with evening up the money on the deal.
Corey to confirm.
