I'm a Marchand fan but not at his price. I make this trade to free up cap space. I think I can fill some glaring holes in my roster with those picks and Giguere, if healthy, should get playing time in Col and gives me some much needed goalie depth after dealing Tuukka.
I was thinking in addition to the 3 entry draft keepers we add to our rosters every year that we could have a 1 or 2 round draft for the contracted teams' draftees in lieu of just adding them to the FA pool. Thoughts?
Just FYI: I'll be away from Thurs 7/21 until Sun 7/31 on vacation. I'll only be physically away for a couple days so I'll be able to check in here and there that week.
The draft is scheduled to begin on 8/3/11 at noon. The pick clock will be 12 hours, at least to begin with. This may be reduced as we get farther into the draft. Any missed picks will be skipped. There will be no autopick. If you miss a pick you can make it up at any time. If you know you're going to be away for an extended period please send a list of players to pick to me, Shelby, gocubsgo7 or -BA- and we'll make your pick for you.
