Now that the Trade Deadline has passed, FGM will now conduct our August Waivers. The Waiver Period will be from August 1st to August 31st.
Here are the rules which govern our August Waivers:
Section E- August Waivers
Item AX E-1.0 Duration
After the trade deadline (and before September), any player can be placed on waivers. Players may not be put on waivers after August 31st but all other waiver transactions will finish their time frames until completion (rescind waiver, trade, release, transfer).
Item AX E-2.0- Waiver Period
1.) Teams can waive a player by posting on the Transaction Board. Each player is posted on a separate thread stating the player and "[waiver]" in the subject title.
2.) Any team wishing to claim a player must do so within 72 hours (Waiver Period)
3.) Waivers cannot be revoked during the Waiver Period, only after a player has been claimed.
Item AX E-3.0 Claims Priorities
1.) If a player isn't claimed by any team in either league, he can be traded until the end of the month to anyone.
2.) If a player is claimed by only one team, the player can be traded only to the team that claims him.
3.) If a player is claimed by more than one team, the club with the worst record in the current year in that player's league gets priority (player's league has priority over other league) -- and the player can be traded only to that team.
4.) If a player isn't claimed by a team in his league priority goes to the team with the worst record in the current year
Item AX E-4.0 Negotiating Period
1.) Once the waiver claim has been awarded the two teams enter a second 72 hour period in which they attempt to negotiate a deal (Negotiating Period)
2.) A decision on the player must be made within 72 hours Negotiating Period. If, within this period, an agreement wasn't posted by both parties NOR was the waive canceled by the waiving team, then the player's contract is considered to moved to the claiming team in exchange for nothing.
3.) The waiving team may revoke waivers only if the player is claimed. Cancellation of the waiver by the waiving team within the 72 hour Negotiation Period means that the player can no longer be on waivers that August and stays with their team.
Item AX E-5.0 Waiver Limitations
1.) Waiver trades are subject to approval by the TC
2.) Players eligible to be traded in a waiver deal are those who were claimed by the respective teams in the waiver deal and any player on a P-n/a contract (prospect contract whose clock has not started).
