deal late contract impact players to a team with higher ambitions than ourselves in order to get Dean Green who we love and draft picks for our future. :MIA-MLB: to confirm. Thanks Nicole for the easy trade talks.
Well, as usual, the same person vetoing every deal he's not involved in personally. What else is new.
Aren't 'vetos' designed to prevent collusion between teams OR to prevent a newbie from being taken advantage of?
I see neither happeneing here. All trades have a 'winner' or a 'loser' and that is usually not truly known for several seasons. Our personal perceptions of what fair value means are subjective to our own opinions and are therefore, prejudiced.
Fair value is not what we hould be voting on, for those reasons.
The Mets are simply trading present value for future value. Nothing wrong with that at all. Miami is willing to trade future value for present production. Nothing wrong with that either.
Anyone who claims to know what the actual value of this trade will be down the road, is fooling themselves.
