FNHL Seattle Kraken and another team or two will be available for sale shortly. Stay tuned!!!

FNHL Seattle Kraken franchise fee will be 185$ and 20$ annual returning team fee thereafter.

Others will be TBD.

I think we should see if Halo misses hockey and would buy your Kraken

Colorado is an easy NO but would revisit.

I need to see the impact of the forwards pay raise over the next two years. I think that move alone will correct the league.

Folks should recognize both the forward pay raise and this cap decrease would increase the value of draft picks. They should also realize the financial stress top teams have of losing a player w no return. We might see a Kadri or Wilson only worth a second round pick going forward. But then similar talent getting scooped from FA for 6m.

From mathematics perspective the two expansion franchises and yoy league cap increases have added a rough 400m in available funds in the last handful of years. The salary increase is more complex to navigate than this high level overview but the top 40 players in the league picked up about 5m per in pay raise so there goes half the gap. I suspect more than the remaining 200m is consumed by the other 250 forwards impacted with the pay raise.

During or after the Supplemental draft, do we need to make special moves? Is this the reason there should not be a freeze on transactions during the draft. Just trying to understand any impacting circumstances. Thanks.

I’ll catch you up boss.

In the inaugural supplemental draft by happenstance it was discovered that buyout players who meet eligibility requirements can be drafted. Someone late that draft tied it all together and dropped a player from their own roster to essentially transfer them to the MiLR and gain 3 year contract control and EL expansion draft exemption.

Last year someone added a wrinkle and bought out a high round draft pick and placed them back in their minors w the commissioner approved caveat they were now eligible for entry contract at the league minimum.

My take is the second round of the supplemental is mostly garbage so either of the options above might be a more enticing use of the pick.

I’m only chasing down this because I traded for late supplementals and signed FAs to move to MiLR. It represents some loss of early supplemental picks where the talent is if I use those picks to move players down. Also having the option to reduce EL contract value could help Colorado. The 22nd appears to be wrong chronologically w the previous deadlines so not big request. I suspect we now all have the same opportunities for this years best ever supplemental draft.

PR can you please shift that date. If it was only on one late pick I wouldn’t whimper so much but I have a handful in jeapordy of losing their intended use.

We usually start the Supp Draft while there’s a Transaction Freeze that last nearly the entire draft. This Supp Draft will likely not be impacted by the freeze.

With 12 hour picks we could easily push into the 22nd.

There’s no real driver to the 22nd so would it be possible to slide that to match the prior two day transaction freeze. Oct 2nd freeze start would match us up.

Allows for the supplemental to play out same as those late pick holders had planned. Other managers may have more options this year.

Can we push the transition freeze on the 22nd back a week or pull the supplemental forward.

  • Brent: And that's why I haven't traded Carr yet.  Someone doesn't have a QB or thinks they'll get one in FA/draft and might be left wanting.

  • ldsjayhawk: @jwalker I make like 2-3 trades a year for each of my baseball teams, maybe.  I'll tell you part of the reason I don't trade.  Every trade discussion starts out with the other team wanting my top prospect regardless of what I am trading for.  I am not trading Jackson Holliday for your backup catcher who is going to play 20 games this year.

  • ldsjayhawk: Trading should be a win-win situation for both teams.
  • dbreer23: Agreed. I think the Devers deal in FGM is a good example of that. Devers gives SD some now (and future) pop, giving up substantial pieces to get him (Mayo, Keith, and one other).

  • Jwalkerjr88: @idsjayhawk i understand that. To be clear, i wasnt judging anyone. I just know in NFL Live, you cant just draft 1-7 rds every year and sign a few FAs and be the champion. It wont happen

  • Jwalkerjr88: Trading isnt easy. But neither is winning

  • Jwalkerjr88: Carolina has kyren williams right now cause i traded him for a 2nd and a 4th. Id rather have kyren today lol
    Today at 01:54:28 PM
  • Brent: Agreed.  I have Amon Ra St. Brown and Aiyuk because I traded JJ.  I couldn't have acquired a player like ASB where I was picking in the 1st so I down tiered at WR to make a trio of Chase, ASB and Aiyuk instead of JJ, Chase and fill in the blank.
  • ldsjayhawk: That is probably even more true in baseball since your drafts don't payoff for 5 years or so.  And I will admit my conservatism may be the reason I only have one championship here at ProFSL

  • Brent: I'm contemplating doing a complete tear down in NFL Live and rebuild.  Honestly, I probably should have postered for it to be this season.  I still might, but I would legit need to go into the draft with 3-4 top 10 picks/+ many others.
  • Brent: postured
  • Jwalkerjr88: Yea nailing drafts and some key FAs helps too. But if you remember BAB you traded alvin kamara for the rams 1-7 draft picks. So the extra picks helped you nail the 2023 draft the way you did
    Today at 03:13:02 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: Its the combination of all three that is required is what im saying
    Today at 03:13:31 PM
  • Jwalkerjr88: And brent a tear down with you assets would look interesting. Personally i just think you need break one big asset down into 3 good ones and move carr and go from there. But you have an A1 nfl mind so im sure you will nail whatever it is you decide

  • BayAreaBallers: very good pt yes i did gain lot of capital which propelled me to make more moves from that trade
    Today at 03:34:25 PM
  • Brent: Thank you.  Yes, I agree.  I do need to break one asset down to 3.  I did that with JJ, went from S tier to 2 A tiers.  Now I need to potentially go from an A tier to 3 Bs or something like that.  I've had some inquiries on Carr, but nothing worth moving him.
