I think Rangers are in the high risk reward range with this deal. Darcy has been pumping out the wins the more ice time the Yotes hand him. They might just ship Raanta and keep Adin Hill as Kuemper's understudy. Of course, Kuemper could also turn into Scott Darling on the Rangers roster but with a heftier cap hit of close to $10 million. BooYah! ! Buds have a sure thing in a mid-2nd rounder plus a bluechip rookie in the kid with too many "A's" in his name, Saarela.
Best assessment here by the Gamer This was an ideal target for a rebuilding franchise to gamble on flipping Darcy using their cap space. 60%+ of the starts w those numbers Darcy will be worth quite a bit more in season. There’s no doubt Saarela will be good if blkhwkfn and burke scouts targeted Good trade folks

Colorado would prefer to wait and see. Following NHL cap just seems simpler and we can keep an eye on this going forward.

Is it my imagination or are schools, school boards and government bodies responsible for schools seem to be clueless as to how to handle COVID-19 this Fall?!!?!?!??!?!?!
Agree; also feels like the weight of the political system is interfering w sound decisions. They don’t plan on screening kids for schools in certain Missouri districts. Pretty disappointed folks aren’t all in on safety. I feel for those educators that aren’t as agile to provide e learn. We’re all in it together!

I need to think about this one some more... I don’t like changing a fundamental rule like FNHL salary cap alignment with the NHL. However, I do recall how the Vegas expansion draft gave teams extra cap space and that coupled with a higher cap lead to a poor FA crop.
Is it a big problem... let me sleep on it!
I’m the same; I’d need to sleep on this. We have a significant bump in skater valuations already so void of forecasting total league player salary values I’d lean towards adjusting in a future season. Always good to hear ideas and tangent variations of the ideas coming from the collective
