Just to throw this out there, Mauer was injured when he was traded for Belt and Ian Stewart. Plus the amount of offers that I received for Belt when he was in Cincy were just plain horrible. If I had accepted one of those out of need, would it have been vetoed - those offers came from some of our most vocal members. Just saying. I might still have the offers in my PM inbox if anyone wants to see them.
Imo, based on the amount of owner turnover and team hopping, we risk becoming a league with 5-6 great teams and a lot of pretenders if we don't extend the TC some latitude. Take a good look at the NL Central, and you'll see my point.
the interesting part is every person not on the TC has no problem with it lol
ok the TC know what they are doing that is why they are on there and i am not on the TC and i dont think this is that good of a trade for the rockies because belt is a high prospect and hinske, blackburn, are lower level rentals if it was higher rentals it would be better
I do this to get saunders who i really like and think he will be a good player. Plus i get hinske who is doing good and will fill ortiz's spot. As a red sox fan ortiz will be missed.
I disagree with this. If Col was an experienced GM, I believe there is more allowed in building the team as he would want. The fact is that he has done nothing to give this league any confidence that he is fully aware of all of the rules and the scoring (please see the questions on edr and extensions after the trade). I believe the fact that he is a new GM given a good team is being lost in the opinions.
