The Royals are looking to move Escobar to a competitor. Not looking in anything in particular but would like a young player or two in return. Having a big year at a tough position to get production from.

You actually have until August 31st to complete a trade for Matt Cain.  The 1st 72 hour period was for the player to complete the waiver process.  Once that 72 hours is finished, if the player is claimed, you have an additional 72 hours to work out a trade with the team who claimed him.  If more than one team places a claim, the team with the worst record (in your case, an NL team has priority over an AL team) has the right to work a trade.  If no trade is worked out, you can revoke the waiver and keep him or do nothing and the player (and his contract) go to the claiming team (but you get nothing back--besides the lost of a contract).

If no one claims him, then you can trade him to whomever, as long as the player(s) you are receiving in return are on a (P-n/a) contract (and have not passed the threshold) or another player who has cleared waivers.

Even better. Thanks for the clarification Flash.

Since Medica's contract is awful.. I am going to add a little present if you take his contract
CI Medica, Tommy, $6m (2017) +
MI Wall, Forrest, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Owens, Henry, $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Wheeler, Zack, $0.5m (P-2016)
OF McKinney, Billy, $0.5m (P-n/a)
MI DeShields, Delino, Jr., $0.5m (P-n/a)
SP Shipley, Braden, $0.5m (P-n/a)

I am looking to do a 2 for 1.. can be 3 for 1 depending on who its for

I can take a bigger contract in the trade and am expecting a pretty good player/prospect in return

  • Daddy: Also agreed. Top quality pitching probably means not much depth. A few injuries can challenge you. Pitching other than top end pitching has been devalued in fantasy. Everyone wants the stud.
