Cats complete this trade with Montreal to add some pieces throughout our franchise and feel it makes us better overall. Moving Shea wasnt in the plans this offseason but I like the package coming back including a D we reluctantly dealt before the Expansion draft in Spurgeon and prospect G Binnington. Florida makes this deal for a better than avg backup and sometimes 1C goalie. Riemer is gonna cost more but brings a bluechip prospect we drafted in tow. The Draft pks are nice and might come in handy if we don't keep them. Ultimately we felt there was a chance Petr would be lost in July's expansion draft so this trade gets us some assets in return for a young starting goalie.
