Article VIII-Position Eligibility
« on: September 08, 2015, 10:02:00 AM »
    Section A- Determining Eligibility
    Item AVIII A-1.0 Eligibility
    • Players are always eligible for at least one position.
    • To gain position eligibility a player must have played 25 GP or 20 IP played at the position within a particular season (This represents half of the eligibility for prospect contracts)
    • Current and past season statistics are used to determine eligibility.
    Item AVIII A-2.0 (MiLB players)
    • A player called up from the MiLB will immediately have their eligibility analyzed.
    • If a player does not meet position eligibility requirements, the position where the player played the majority of their games will be used if necessary.
    Item AVIII A-3.0 (MLB players)
    • Each MLB player's eligibility is analyzed yearly, during the off-season. The 25GP/20IP rule applies.
    • The player will remain eligible for the position(s) for which he qualifies for the upcoming season.
    • In addition, a player can gain eligibility at another position should he reach the 25GP/20IP plateau at any time during the current season.

    Section B- GM's Responsibilities
    Item AVIII B-1.0
    • GMs are responsible for all analysis and reporting them to the league office.
    • Report all eligibility issues to the league office by posting them on the Transaction board.

    • Daddy: Variety is what all of our leagues should be, no two alike. So we as a site can cater to all types. MLB LIVE lost a HOF level GM (Paul) because he doesn't do H2H leagues.

    • TheGOAT: @Daddy, when will NBA Live be in full swing?
      May 15, 2024, 08:09:19 PM
    • Daddy: Its there as an option. $10 entry for a chance to win $100 or double your money. Worst case you're out $10 but no contracts etc.
      May 15, 2024, 08:09:37 PM
    • Daddy: @TheGoat starting two leagues next month. NBA could be ready by the upcoming season.
      May 15, 2024, 08:10:17 PM
    • Daddy: @TheGoat I'm waiting on the creation of league boards per @Anthony. Once the boards are up the building of the league begins.

    • Jwalkerjr88: I get like that too Eric. My goal every offseason is to do at least 1 trade with every gm. Why not? Its fun
      Yesterday at 04:55:00 PM
    • Jwalkerjr88: Some guys just dont trade for whatever reason. But the guys who dont arent championship contenders.
    • Daddy: They trade, about as often as real teams do. For people that love year round trading, being in one league, one sport, its going to be difficult.
    • Jwalkerjr88: Not everyone trades. But agreed, for one sport folk like myself. It requires patience

    • Daddy: NFL LIVE has the toughest GMs & football is the toughest fantasy sport for DYNASTY. Redraft will always be King of football.

    • Alpha5: If a team has 2 QB1s another team has none. If a team in baseball has 2 1B it doesn't leave a team without one.
    • Alpha5: That's what I mean by limited assets
      Today at 09:09:53 AM
    • Brent: And that's why I haven't traded Carr yet.  Someone doesn't have a QB or thinks they'll get one in FA/draft and might be left wanting.
    • Daddy: @Alpha if a team in MLB LIVE has two starting 1Bs then there is also a team without one.
    • ldsjayhawk: @jwalker I make like 2-3 trades a year for each of my baseball teams, maybe.  I'll tell you part of the reason I don't trade.  Every trade discussion starts out with the other team wanting my top prospect regardless of what I am trading for.  I am not trading Jackson Holliday for your backup catcher who is going to play 20 games this year.
