We request players not found on fantrax. Sometimes without them signing. When they add a player its for every league, not just ours. So if a player exists on fantrax in any league, he will also exist in ours. Until he does he isnt eligible for bidding. If you win the bid what are we supposed to do? Place a note?? We cannot operate that way and be the league we are visioned to be.
You cant watch tv and they say "babe ruth signed a contract today with the Yankees" and you run to the site and post babe ruth. If on fantrax he doesnt exist then he isnt eligible to be "Fantraxed".
If it isnt on fantrax then it cannot be traded. If you arent looking at fantrax then we are opening up a lot of things that cause confusion. When we draft.. those players arent owned and was drafted.
Note that for players who should be in the Fantrax player pool but are not, e.g., recent draftees that signed with the MLB team, any of you can request that a player be added to the player pool. Just go to Fantrax, click on Other > All Options > Request New Players, and the directions are pretty self-explanatory.
If players dont show on fantrax at the time of the bid then the bid is in fact invalid. If anyone bidding reads the handbook, in it, it should state a player must be on a team and already appear on fantrax. If you dont see a player on fantrax then he isnt eligible for bidding.
post-draft Fantrax update: Fantrax has added most of the draftees that I've requested. Still waiting on three draftees to arrive in the player pool but just Fantraxed about 15 that have recently been added.
" All positions are Fantrax Default A player qualifies for a NEW position by playing 5 games the current season or 10 games the previous season at MLB, Milr, or both combined. *EACH GM MUST POST his requested update like a transaction to have additional eligibility added to default."
