First Overall in the 2013 NHL Draft?

[PigsRule]

I've been thinking about who to draft first overall. Seth Jones is a force but is he the real deal on the blueline or another Erik Johnson? Nate MacKinnon is good but was he good because of Jonathan Drouin and vice versa. I'm clearly leaning towards one of the top three. I'll get back to you guys soon enough.

well post your pick in the 2013 draft thread when you know to allow the 2nd and 3rd overall draft teams to plan.

interesting how nathan mc's Memorial Cup performance has him back as the #1 draft prospect.

wonder if Avs will go for Jones or MacKinnon... i'm guessing with Patrick Roy running the show in Colorado, they'll pick MacKinnon or even Drouin seeing as how Roy had a chance to watch those Halifax players all season.

Valeri Nichushkin is moving up the draft list of all scouts. Apparently he's impressing teams at the NHL Combine.

There's talk of him looking like Malkin but does any prospect ever perform and deliver at the NHL level like the player everyone claims they look like?

One word: Hype!

[PsychoticPondGoons]

Sakic and Roy are stirring do-do in Colorado. I think they're angling to move their 1st pick to Florida or Tampa.

That and they're generating some hype for the Avs. Can't blame them, it's all free. LOL

Colorado has confirmed they will draft Nathan MacKinnon with their first pick overall. They will have a scary powerplay very soon.

I will say like the Avs, my Sharks will lean towards a forward and who we draft with our first overall pick in this year's draft will depend on which team takes the players on our short list.
