FNHL player contracts: carry over/extend or treat '12-13 as a completed season and move on... i'm inclined to the latter at this pt for 2 reasons (a) straight-fwd admin + (b) less negotiations

When to restart league activities: 2 scenarios (a) if the NHL lockout is resolved and there's a partial season, then whenever the partial season gets officially announced, we'll be back in business or (b) NHL season gets canceled... then we'll restart FNHL activities at what would've been the start of the off-season, on April 14, 2013.

I think it's easier to just keep all the contracts as is. That is, don't turn a 2013-2014 contract into a 2014-2015 contract.
...Like you said, for you admin guys, that would mean going into ALL the teams' rosters and changing EVERY players' contracts by one year... That would take a heck of a lot of time and be really boring too, haha.
Obviously this is going to have pros and cons for re-signing players currently with 2012-2013 contracts.
....Technically you'd only have 1 year of stats to use for their re-sign value (the 2011-12 season). This could be good if the player was injured for part of it, or bad if the player had a fluke year.... But mostly it's going to benefit teams with the injured players because even if that player had that fluke season, and bombs next season (this season I guess), you'd still have to go back 2 years for the re-sign value if you want to keep him on, so....as I type this, that's really a non-issue. Now I'm too lazy to go back and delete that portion so I'll move on.
I guess what this DOES benefit from now is the players that had fluke/uncharacteristic good seasons in 2010-11, because you no longer have to use that season in re-sign rankings.
Just thought about something, maybe the commishes of this league will just decide to still use the last 2 years of actual seasons for re-sign values, in which case ALL of what I just said is pointless.
ANYWAYS....

I think it's pretty self-explanatory as to what happens.
Season starts = We start
No season = Regular off-season happenings
Pretty certain there is going to be no season.
I guess on a positive note, Columbus doesn't get the all-star game. As if people would have showed anyways. They'd probably block off the upper deck just so the lower bowl looks filled... And the TV cameras would never pan to the upper deck. Haha.
Stupid Bettman and keeping teams in non-profitable cities.
