Reds Yanks deal again

[Dan Wood]

Reds get

OF Hunter, Torii, $18m (2011)
X-OF Hunter, Torii, LAA paying $10m in 2010, $-10m in 2010
+ 8 mil from yanks in 2010 and 2011

Yanks get

MI Tejeda, Ruben, $0.5m (P-n/a)
3-5 CIN (from WAS)

I do this because it looks like my MI will be good enough for the next few years with Hill and Walker. As much as I think Joyce is my future at OF, I have very little room for error in my last ditch effort to make the playoffs. I have two pitchers coming back week and with the addition of Hunter should make for an interesting match up against the Dodgers. Plus Hunter is a good clubhouse guy, which always helps, especially during the pressure packed moments of a playoff birth race. Yankees to confirm.

In a chance to shed a little salary for next season and get a pick back that we moved in the deal for dunn. plus another young mi doesnt hurt us, as we lack that department.  The yankee brass would like to thank Mr. Hunter for his services. Hopefully after this move, the yankees will not lead the league in gidp's.
