Philly - Edmonton Deal

[papps]

Flyers send:

G Niklas Backstrom , $6m (2012-2013)
LW James van Riemsdyk, $1.5m (2012-2013)
D - Marc-Andre Bourdon
1st round pick 2012

for

Mikhail Grabovski, $2.9m (2012-2013)
Ryan Jones, $1.8m (2013-2014)
Sergei Bobrovsky, $2.8m (2014-2015)

Flyers agree to this deal to acquire another C.  I value Bobrovsky higher than Backstrom as I feel Bob will be traded this year and become a starter.  I also think Jones is an upgrade over JVR.  I feel its a good trade for both teams.

Edmonton Confirms

I contacted Papps about a small trade for JVR, and he re-worked it into this beast.

I really hate to lose Bobrovsky, cause I think he's going to be a great full time starter for years, but the 1st round pick and the good, cheap Bourdon helps a lot.

i like this deal. looks balanced but depending on how that 1st rd pick turns out there could be a slight edge to Edmonton here.
