Reds/oak trade

[Dan Wood]

Reds send
C Posey, Buster, $4m (2015)
+3.5 mil in 2012

Oak sends
CI Smoak, Justin, $0.5m (P-2013)
C Ramos, Wilson, $0.5m (P-2014)
OF Kalish, Ryan, $0.5m (P-2013)

I do this because I am still somewhat a believer in Smoak. I am a big fan of Kalish, and have always thought he was superior to Reddick (we all see what Reddick is doing). Ramos is a solid backstop when not being kidnapped for ransom. This will hurt my chances this year, because of injury, but in the long run I feel it will pay off with production and depth. Thanks Rob, enjoy Buster.

I agree to the deal.  I need points from the C position.  I like Buster a good bit and thing he will continue to improve.  Cin receives 3 very good young players on good contracts.  Ramos was performing very well before injury, Smoak's skillset is built for this league, when he figures it out.  The price was steep, but hopefully worth it.

Thanks, Dan, appreciate the deal.
