Nationals-Pirates trade 6/23/26 2:37P

[TheLongHorn]

Pirates trade:

P Jakob Junis 500k (2027)

P Mason Fluharty 500k (2027)

Nationals trade:

2B Nick Gonzales 500k (arb2)

P Daniel Eagen (PC)

If this trade is approved I would place Eagen on the MILB roster and call up P Julian Aguiar to the big league roster.

Pirates look to flip from a position of strength to add a young arm we believe in to slot in a currently weak Arizona rotation, Gonzales will fill a hole in MI and possibly CI down the road, I?m hoping Vientos pulls his head out of his behind, but if not this is a little insurance. Nationals to confirm, thanks Dave for the quick talks.

Nationals approve.  Rebuilding the RP crew after trading Bednar on my last deal.  Nice to get two inexpensive high-leverage relievers, and recent moves have given me the flexibility to move Gonzalez.  Good luck TLH!
