Reds-Rockies Trade

2025 3rd Round Pick (from NYY)

RP Adrian Morejon p-2025

to :COL: for:

RP Jordan Romano p-2024

Reds make this trade to acquire someone we believe in long term. Similar to the move we made for Bradish, we have time to wait and see how they both comeback from their respective injuries. We will look to extend Romano if/when the trade is processed. Rockies to confirm, thanks @DaveW!

Rockies approve.  I'm bummed to lose Romano, but with his recent injury he's not going to contribute much before the end of this season, and my future cap space is getting tight so I wasn't planning to resign him.  I'm excited about getting Morejon and the draft pick in return.  Thanks for the trade talks @TheLongHorn !
