Mariners/white sox trade 12/21 8:40A

[Dan Wood]

White Sox get

OF George Springer .5m (p-2017)
CI Casey Gillespie .5m (p-n/a)

For

CI Eric Hosmer 4m (2018)

I do this trade because I hate Hosmer and need some depth at OF. I like Springer's skillset better than Hosmer as he is less dependent on his .BA. Thanks for the talks M's

:SEA: confirms

I like Hosmer and he improves my CI after trading Seager for Greinke.
