Cubs Extension

Please let me know if I am calculating this correctly or misinterpreting the rules. But Cubs would like to extend Sean Doolittle a 2 year contract. Which I believe would look like this:

Old Contract: RP Doolitle, Sean, $0.5m (P-2015)

2015 rank = unranked
2014 = RP-43 = $2m

New contract: $.5m (P-2015) and $2m (2016)

Caldulations are correct. You can, however, extend him up tp 3 years.

Oh ok, that's what I wasn't sure, if it included this year as one of the three. 2018 is good though. Thanks!

Nope, contract extensions start after current contract ends.
