Hawks and Nucks Deal

[PsychoticPondGoons]

Hawks announce a deal with the Canucks!
Chicago is doing to shake up the locker room.

Zubrus was great for our stretch run with his Center/LW/RW flexibility. Andrej will be himself now that the Sabres don't have to try so hard to lose games. LOL We like JF and Magnus and can eat DUSTIN PENNER's big fat useless cap hit to make this deal happen.

TO Tarheels :VAN:
C/LW/RW Dainius Zubrus, $1.6m (2014-2017)
D Andrej Meszaros, $0.2m (2014-2016)
G Eric Hartzell, $0.2m (2013-2015) ... $1.0m (2015-2017)

TO PPG :CHI-NHL:
LW Dustin Penner, $3.4m (2013-2016) Going to Eat his contract. Last played in April 2014
G Jean-Francois Berube, $0.2m (2013-2015)
D - Magnus Nygren (2011: 4/113 - 0 Games)
Round 3 - 2015 VAN

Tar to confirm. Thx Dave! :toast:

Losing Penner's contract is helpful here so Zubrus is older but still useful as a flexible fill in and Meszaros should do well for the Sabres next yr as he has close to 20min of ice time.I like Hartzell also with the Pens.Good Deal Here.   :toth:

:iatp: Good move for the Canucks unloading Penner's contract 100%. That unlocks the possibility for more moves by Vancouver. Chicago adds young depth to their MiLR. Will give the nod to Vancouver for clearing cap.
