White Sox/ Dodgers trade

[Dan Wood]

White Sox get
MI Refsnyder, Robert, $2.5m (2016)
SP Bauer, Trevor, $0.5m (P-2017)
OF Renfroe,, Hunter, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Dodgers get
OF Gomez, Carlos, $2.5m (2016)

I send my star OF off to fill a need at MI (Drew won't hold that spot in NYY), get a top 100 spec with 70 power and who should see the show in short order, and a young pitcher who showed great strides last season. Hate giving up Gomez, but in two years I don't want to be paying him over 15 mil a year - never really pans out

I would also like to add another year to Refsnyder's contract making him 2.5 (2017). I believe I am within my right to do so.

Dodgers to confirm

My inquiry of Gomez was kind of a whim that escalated into reality, quickly. I dealt my last hold cards in Renfroe and Refsnyder who, I believe will be in MLB sooner rather than later. Bauer became somewhat expendable with the recent signing of Dallas Kuechel. What I get in return is a 29 y/o OF who was ranked #11 last year who I believe has a few good years left.
I feel like the Dodgers have become a little pitcher heavy recently and I think this will balance things out.
Also it should allow me to sit out outfield free agency, a welcome thought.
