Nationals/Rays Trade

[lp815]

The Nationals and Rays have agreed to the following:

Rays receive:
P Brackman, Andrew, $1m (P-n/a)
C-CI Posey, Buster, $4m (2015)
OF Revere, Ben, $0.5m (P-n/a)
P Ohlendorf, Ross, $2m (2012)

Nationals receive:
P Hellickson, Jeremy, $0.5m (P-n/a)
OF Jennings, Desmond, $0.5m (P-n/a)
P McGee, Jake, $0.5m (P-n/a)
CI Rizzo, Anthony, $0.5m (P-n/a)

I make this move to receive some much needed MLB ready talent.  Prior to this trade, my team was probably not going to be competitive until at least 2013.  With this trade, my team can at least try and reach .500 in 2012.  I lose my best player, but am hoping the return will make up for the arguable all-star that Posey will surely be.  Thanks Mike, great dealing with you.

Rays accept this deal.

We hate lose such quality youngsters, but feel the return was very fair and helps us make a push at things this year.  Posey provides us solid roster flexibility should we decide to move Wieters at some point and also allows us to move an OF or two to fill a need come June.  Revere and Brackman help lessen the blow to my farm and Ohlendorf is a capable back-end starter for my rotation.  As always, great working with you Jake, one of the pleasures to deal with here at ProFSL!
