Cubs/A's Deal

[Needle Juice]

The Cubs and A's have agreed to the following deal:

OF Swisher, Nick, $5.5m (2012)
for
C Suzuki, Kurt, $5m (2011)
MI Salcedo, Edward, $0.5m (2012)
OF Jones, Daryl, $0.5m (P-n/a)
P Colome, Alex, $0.5m (P-n/a)

Swisher is a very good performer in the OF.  I give up a solid C and three top 150 prospects in return.  More production at the major league level for the A's.  Thin at C, but willing to take the risk.

Thanks, Mike.  Confirm when you have the opportunity.

I give up one of my biggest stars in Swisher to solve my catcher problem and pick up several prospects at key positions.  What a deal... I am very happy with it.
