I agree with this trade. Yea se people are going to say i thought i am rebuilding and yes i am. I am building my around certain players. Right know before i made this trade i was 86m dollors under the cap for next season so i feel the best way to rebuild is bring in the guys i feel can help me and build up my team around them. Adding lemahieu along with my other trades betts,story,solak,nimmo and cameron and haveing plesac,valdez,long and once soroko comes back next season im going to have a pretty solid team. Ill build rest of my team up thru fa and i got some guys in the minors i feel can help me alot. Gamel has been great with the pirates and i add crowe to my team as either a sp or a long reliever. Yea i gave up alot but i feel these pieces will help my team more.

Rays agree.

The first version of this deal took a while for me to think through, but I decided this was my best offer on LeMahieu.

I give up quality for quantity both on my 40 man roster and my minors. This obviously hurts my major league roster short-term (especially this year), but I still got some mlb players back to help keep out of tanking penalty land next season and added some pretty good depth for my minors.

I don't like giving up Toro, but I think Sanchez might have the highest ceiling of anyone but LeMahieu (and maybe Chirinos) in the deal. I feel I am selling high on Gamel, and shouldn't lose too much long-term value if I'm wrong.

At this rate I will probably have completely switched teams with the white Sox by the end of the year.

I feel bad for whoever has to actual rebuild this white sox team. I thought the team was looking solid going into the year.
