I hate to see Cy Young Award Winner and Strikeout Master Blake Snell go out the door, especially with his cheap contract, and Paul DeJong and his cheap contract and thunder bat, but I think this deal makes both teams better in the long run. My bullpen takes a MAJOR hit losing someone like Josh Hader but it stretches out my pitching staff a little more. Hopefully Riley wasn't a one trick pony and can make adjustments for the 2020 season.

Toronto accepts as well didn’t know if I wanted to resign Correa as I thought 5 million was a bit much for him and was actually thinking and still am of trading Scherzer as 20 plus million for him plus around 20 million for Kershaw would leave me with only a little to fill some other holes I may have in my lineup bringing in Dejong really helped ease the pain of losing Correa as he is much cheaper and Snell gives me the possibility of another number 1 pitcher in case I do end up losing Scherzer and I really liked getting harder to bolster my RP out of the prospects I am giving I really liked Riley and Clevinger but sending them out is part of the price you pay for getting young talent that is already in the majors.
