Is this trade fair? Maybe but we?re not voting on the fairness of a trade. Does it suck that you made other deals in response to this one? Sure but it?s no different than if you make a deal followed by other quick ones and the original deal gets vetoed.
Trades are not official until all parties involved post their acceptance of the deal.
We know the rules and we always respected them.
We just think this case is pretty unique and needed to be evaluated not just looking at formal procedures.
This is not a veto, not a manager changing his plan, it is a manager stepping down just after confirming a deal through a private message.
Frankly, we expected more protection for a manager strongly committed to this league who traded in good faith, while the formal application of the rule seems to protect the future plans of a team without an owner. Obviously, it would have been different if the trade was unfair and could penalize Magic or be clearly in favour of Spurs
