The confirm the trade. I do this trade to help build for the future. I don't see Smith being part of the Rockies organization in the future and am looking for some very good prospects. Losing a preforming Iannetta hurts, but sending him to a team that is looking to win now helps out cause.

I am very high on the Texas specs hoping they can show why they are tops. Good doing business Dave and good luck this year.

Paulino is a sneaky value here and Ianetta is the big cheese to give a lot of extra points at catcher.  Beltre, Scheppers, Erlin, and Skole are all decent prospects in return.

This is a fair trade that will certainly depend on how well Ianette does in Texas.
