Not that tough?

Mets have the worst record, so would have first dibs on Mazzaro
Then the Marlins have the next best, so they'd get Kila
Then I was the only one to put a bid in on O'Sullivan, so he's mine.

Makes sense, no?
Actually the Marlins had the worst record 72-90
Mets went 77-85

Marlins would get both Mazzaro and Kila
BlueJays get O'sullivan.

Yes, I just clearly can't read today  :o

However, in the same claiming period (which would reset monthly), the team should go to the end of the line, no?
Otherwise the worst teams could get all the players.

According to page 9 of the constitution
Waivers Priority Order
The order in which organization may claim players off waivers is by winning percentage,
beginning with the lowest. Waivers during the off-season will use the previous season’s winning
percentage. The order is not reset if an organization makes a waiver claim.

I believe the idea is to help build the worst teams.

That sort of sucks but oh well. I would have liked to have been rotating then Marlins would have gotten their first guy listed then I would have gotten Mazzorno.

I dont really like this rule. As in the "crappy" teams would always get the picks. Just my 2 cents.

You are dropping someone from your 40 man roster for someone you believe is better,correct...Do you really believe that the "crappy" teams will have such a great advantage due to that.  If you have someone you believe is going to make such a huge difference, why would you want to remove them?

The worst team gets first dibs at ANYONE dropped, that's not an advantage?

By all means it is an advantage, but the team is still "crappy," I was saying that this should not make a difference in whether you have a playoff contender or another pretender. This may help the team in the future years or possibly in a stat temporarily.  From what I get, this league is about competitive balance. That is why each of us get $125M for payroll.  For a couple of years it will take awhile to get the competitive balance straightened out.  Remember the Constituition is a constantly evolving document that changes with the needs of the league.

The system is what it is right now, but I just want to throw this in there right now:  As far as THIS year goes, I think the order shouldn't be the team's records from last year, but the order in which we pick in the amateur draft.  That makes a lot more sense to me for this particular year. ..... Of course after this year is over, it would go back to using the record.
